Coming Events - Next Meeting: May 17th

Topic: Data Driven MVVM Forms

In this meeting we will develop a simple forms based data entry app where the fields are generated from the data in a SQL database table. With the power of WPF Technology we can quickly and easily develop simple data entry forms that change at runtime based on the data structures in the database. We will learn techniques that allow the forms to support various data presentations, including textboxes, dropdown lists and more, all driven by the database schema.

Speaker: Tim Corbett

Tim is a consultant with Intellithought, Inc. in Kingsport, TN. He has been on assignment full time for the last 2.5 years to a large coal mining company in VA. Tim has been programming with .Net since version 1.0 and has used every version since. He was primarily a VB.net programmer until 2010 when he wanted to write MVVM apps and decided C# would be a better way to proceed. He forced himself into writing code in C# and now is an avid C# developer working on many MVVM projects.
Although he has been toying with some Azure apps, he really likes programming for the Windows Phone 7.

This meeting is sponsored by TEK Systems
